Montfortian Adventure Retreat for Youth-In-Action (MAR-YIA)
MAR-YIA 2019 rewind
The Annual MAR-YIA, 26th - 28th June 2019
Started in 2018, the annual three-day residential Montfortian Adventure Retreat for Youth-In-Action (MAR-YIA) was held from 26 to 28 June 2019 at Assumption Pathway School. 36 students from the schools under the St Gabriel’s Foundation attended the retreat based on the theme “Many Parts, One Body”.
Inspired by the life stories of our Founder St Louis Marie de Montfort , the students learned about Montfortian leadership through impactful and fun but rigorous series of experiential learning activities including an adventure training component at Boys’ Town Adventure Centre. Their proud parents joined them on the second night for dinner and watched them performed skits to show what they had learned.
